HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE (HGH) – WHAT IS GROWTH HORMONE?
Human Growth Hormone (HGH), a naturally occurring hormone, is released from the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is often referred to as the master gland and as such growth hormone (HGH) is sometimes called the “master hormone.” It is responsible for many youth enhancing benefits such as building and maintaining healthy muscles; regulating how our bodies store and burn fat, especially around the stomach area; the ratio of "good" and "bad" cholesterol levels; and bone density. In addition, growth hormone is essential for healthy brain function.
Known Effects of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) include:
* ENERGY - Increased energy and emotional stability.
* SLEEP – Greater improvement in the quality of sleep and a feeling of being well rested.
* SEXUAL POWER - Increased sexual potency and frequency.
* SEXUAL DESIRE - Increased sexual desire and libido.
* MUSCLE - Increased muscle strength, lean muscle tissue and tone.
* FAT - Decreased fat tissue (including cellulite) and improved weight loss.
* SKIN - Increased skin elasticity, texture, and tightness.
* HAIR - Improved hair texture and less hair loss.
* MEMORY - Improved mental functioning and strength.
* BONE - Improved bone strength, mass and repair.
* HEART - Improved cardiovascular strength and lower blood pressure.
* KIDNEY - Improved kidney and renal function.
* IMMUNE SYSTEM - Improved immunity and healing.
* CHOLESTEROL - Elevated HDL and lowered LDL.

Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency (AGHD)
Human Growth Hormone (HGH) production remains sufficient until your early 20s, but subsequently declines with age. This decline in hormone production leads to a decline in general health and is referred to as Growth Hormone Deficiency, or AGHD. After your physical growth stops, your body still needs growth hormone (HGH) for your cells to function properly. Adults with this deficiency may have increased body fat and/or reduced lean body mass, feel extremely tired all the time, have sleep disturbances, lack of energy and stamina, memory loss and moodiness, dry, brittle skin, hair and nails, and blood tests may show that their cholesterol levels are higher than normal or out of proportion.
Some patients with AGHD may also experience adverse changes in bone density, reduced strength and exercise capacity, and impaired psychological well-being.
The most common treatment for growth hormone deficiency is Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Restoring your hormone levels helps to ease many of the undesirable effects of aging. This includes improvements in bone density and body composition. Anti-Aging Group offers hormone therapy programs customized to address your specific deficiencies. Through comprehensive lab work, physical examination, and review of medical history our physicians can determine if hormone therapy is right for you.
